How integration data sources work
Under the hood, Integration Data Sources securely connects to your employee system and updates what we call a data source in Functionly every 24 hours. This data source contains a read-only and versioned copy of the data import. You can then use this data source to keep one or more of your scenarios up-to-date, ensuring they reflect the latest changes in your company.
You have full control over what data gets updated — perhaps you want to exclude certain new positions or pending changes — and with comprehensive version history, any changes can be reviewed, compared, adjusted, or reversed. This gives you both flexibility and confidence as your organization evolves.
Today, you can connect Functionly to your HRIS and keep your data in sync with ease — and we’re continuing to build out even more connections and options. You’ll always have a complete, up-to-date picture of your organization at your fingertips.

Integration data sources is available as an optional add-on to your Functionly subscription. It’s designed to deliver real value by saving you time, reducing manual effort, and helping you stay confidently up to date — all while scaling with your needs.
