You may have noticed two overlapping squares on your Team Chart and been wondering what it represents.
Overlapping squares in Functionly indicate that a function has been allocated to two different teams - we call these overlaps. Perhaps this is an intentional overlap in your organization, as the work is shared between multiple teams, or perhaps it is an unintentional duplication of work.
How can you see where the overlaps are?
You can check which teams have the overlapping work by hovering your mouse over the relevant Function or Superfunction, on the sidebar. This will make a blue outline appear around the two teams, as in the below example where the 'Finance' Superfunction has been assigned to the Finance team and Operations team.
When you click on any function it will show you all of its associated activities and who the people in your organization that are responsible it, and if you click on their avatar you can see all of the activities they're responsible for.
